Abstract
SUMMARY This article chronicles a student's field placement experience at a drop-in center for homeless senior citizens. The student confronts her own fears and misconceptions about the senior population as she creates and implements a group-work program. Relying heavily on her knowledge of group development and group dynamics, she facilitates a current events group that provides lively atmosphere for her and the members to learn and grow from one another.
