Abstract

AbstractThis chapter is focused on Kente textiles as a form of luxury jewellery, considering its production process and whether and how the visual identity of the finished product communicates that these jewellery items have been produced in a more sustainable manner. We thus propose that heritage should be part of the sustainability framework, as it provides an anchor in the past, whilst also preserving skills for the future, which is vital in ensuring that current and future generations can enjoy the same resources. Keywords Kente Production processVisual identitySustainabilityHeritageJewellery
