Abstract

The use of Industry 4.0 technologies has sped up the growth of production on which manufacturing systems are being turned into automated and connected ones. As a result of the complexity of products and the exponential change in consumer demands, the amount of uncertainties in today's technology and industrial environments is rapidly increasing. The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Big Data (BD), in particular, have played an increasingly important role in the product development process (PDP) in a variety of industries, leading to value growth, competitive advantage and idea generation. Besides, to meet customer and sustainable requirements over the product Iifecycle, the PDP requires the use of Design for X (DFX) approach to integrate different factors X's, In this regard, this paper aims to combine knowledge from various fields into a detailed, realistic and holistic approach for the implementation and development of services and products using DFX techniques, BD and IIoT technologies. More clearly, this study uses fuzzy multi-criteri a theory to provide practitioners and managers with a guide to selecting the most important DFX techniques that consider quality attributes in product or service design while considering the advantages of BD and IIoT technologies.
