Abstract

Sustainability in Facilities Management (FM) is a new approach in managing buildings and may be influenced by practitioners involved within an organisation.Sustainability inthe organisation has a significant impact on organisational success in increasing the firm’s profitability,reducing cost and enhancingsafety and health. This paper aims to evaluate the level of sustainability implementation in the university organisations with the objectives to measure an understanding concerning sustainable FM among practitioners, and to determine the sustainability dimension which mostly considered. Six-teen interviews were conducted, and the results found that the majority of participants were not familiar to the sustainability concept and the environmental dimension was higher priorities in FM implementation.Keywords: Sustainable Facilities Management; Malaysian Universities; Sustainable Organisation; IntervieweISSN 2398-4295 ©2020 The Authors.
