Abstract
The specific of the agrarian sector in the general system of the state manifests itself in relief in solving the problems of land and property relations. In the context of increasing intensity of land use there are processes that lead to a decrease in the efficiency of land use. In this regard the problem of sustainable development, organization of rational use and protection of land resources is particularly relevant. Large areas of land especially for agricultural purposes have been used for non-agricultural activities in recent years. This is of particular concern since the area of fertile land is very limited. The article discusses the main strategic directions in the field of land use in which decisions are needed which in the future will contribute to the sustainable development of not only agro-industrial production, but also rural areas in general. The role of the components of the land management system as interrelated links in the process of regulating land relations is revealed. The purpose of this research is to improve the theory and practice of the development of land and property relations in agriculture and rural areas.
