Abstract

This investigation was carried out to study different levels of Rice bran on performance of lambs twenty-eight Masal Local male lambs with mean body weight of 30.63±1.9Kg were used in completely randomized design with four treatments each containing seven replications in 84-day feeding trial. The used diet containing 2.5 Mcal/Kg Energy and 14.7% crude protein level based on NRC in this experiment, that formulated by feed ingredients such as alfalfa, wheat straw, soybean corn bean ,barely grain, mineral-vitamin premix and salt Experimental treatments including above mentioned diet containing 1-diet without Rice bran (control) 2- diet consisting 10%, 3- 20% and 4with 30% rice bran. In the last three treatments, Rice bran was replaced with barley and corn. The results showed that in this experiment, using different levels of rice bran had no significant influence on fattening lamb dry matter intake in all of breeding phases. But treatments average independent comparing indicated that control treatment vs treatments containing different levels of rice bran had significant difference and in the different levels of Rice bran, performance of treatment containing 20% Rice bran was significantly better than other treatments (p≤0.05). © 2015 Published by CASRP publishing company Ltd.
