Abstract
The paper deals with the historical and structural survey of the medieval stone bridge recently discovered in the Prague Castle area. The old masonry construction, probably dated back to 15th century, includes bridge arch and two pillars in a highly authentic state. Failures and deterioration processes of this historical structure are described. The important achievement of in situ inspection and laboratory analysis are presented, interventions and maintenance plan proposed.
