Abstract
lot of researches have been done on the study of radio-propagation behaviour. Many propagation modals have been proposed for studying and analysing the radio-propagation behaviour present in GSM. The factors which impact the coverage prediction are the frequency of operations, clutter classes like urban, suburban or rural and physical parameters of the Base station like antenna height, tilt and power. In the process of finding the detailed knowledge about the RF coverage prediction and its impact of field when the frequency Band gets changed, this survey analysis the work till date on the propagation modals present, 900 & 1800 Mhz site analyses too present in the industry to help RF planning. And also studied the 2G spectrum allocation made in India and its impact on the GSM service providers.
