Abstract

Objective To do a good job in women's health care services, investigate and analyze the menstrual status, menstrual health care knowledge, cognition and compliance behavior of female college students in our college, obtain guidance data of menstrual health education for female college students. Methods From May to June in 2017, a questionnaire was issued to the female students who went to the school health center, and 213 students were involved in the investigation. Results The female students with abnormal menstrual cycle, menstrual volume, and duration of menstruation accounted for 12.21%, 15.96%, and 13.14% respectively, the female students who did not know the menstrual cycle and ovulation period accounted for 56.61% and 75.12% respectively; 38.03% of female students followed the menstrual precautions; 22.54% of female students went to the doctor because of menstrual disorder. Conclusions Colleges and universities should carry out menstruation related knowledge and menstrual health care health education, guide female college students to establish good menstrual habits and medical treatment concept.
