Abstract
Abstract.This paper describes the use of an inferiorly based pedicled flap from the temporal fascia sutured to the anterior-lateral wall of the capsule and augmentation of the zygomatic root of the temporal bone by a bone graft from the iliac crest to prevent forward movement of the condyle beyond the eminence. It may be used for treatment of patients with chronic subluxation and dislocation of the temporomandibular joint.
