Abstract

A surgical method is described for exteriorizing the orifice of Stensen's duct in non-human primates. This operation is useful in experiments entailing the collection of parotid saliva on a continuous long-term basis. Histological evidence demonstrates a complete competent union between mucosa and skin at the site of surgery.
