Abstract

Two mongrel pups of one month age were brought with protruded rectum. The pups had history of severe diarrhoea from the last one week and no deworming was done. The prolapsed mass was cleaned with antiseptic solution and Lignocaine jelly was applied. The prolapsed mass was reduced and purse string sutures were applied in both the cases. There was an uneventful recovery in a period of 5 days without any recurrence.
