Abstract

Background: One of the most complex müllerian anomalies is uterine didelphys with obstructed hemivagina and ipsilateral renal anomaly (OHVIRA). The surgical management of this condition relies on accurate diagnosis to determine side affected, concurrent ipsilateral renal anomaly (IRA), thickness of the septum (TS), septal axis (SA) and distance of the septum to the perineum (DSP) for excision of the obstructed longitudinal vaginal septum (OLVS). We sought to assess the preoperative characteristics and surgical outcomes for OHVIRA.
