Abstract
The paper discusses the issue of programming the lifespan of electrical devices from the viewpoint of the electrical system designer. The contents of standards PN-EN 62305, PN-EN 61000-4-5 have been confronted with daily practice of the end user of electrical wiring. Currently, the described standard-based dilemma has not been resolved yet.
