Abstract
Termination structures of surfaces of zeolite L crystals are studied by high-resolution electron microscopy (HREM). By comparing observed HREM images with simulated ones based on some ideal models of the surface structure, a reliable surface structure model is proposed. The framework of the structural model is terminated with double six-membered rings on the (001) surface and with cancrinite cages on the (100) and (110) surfaces of the crystallite.
