Abstract

An expression for the permittivity tensor of a superconductor is derived within the framework of a two-fluid model of the electron subsystem. For the temperature range T ≪ T c , the dispersion relations for surface polaritons that propagate in the direction of the three principal crystallographic axes of a thin superconducting layer along its two interfaces with isotropic dielectrics are found. A significant effect of the superconductor anisotropy on the dispersion relations is revealed. The polarization structure of the wave field inside and outside the superconducting layer is determined.
