Abstract

Surface electromagnetic waves, which can propagate along the plane interface between a superfluid liquid and a normal metal, are investigated. The dispersion relations for surface waves with different polarizations of the optical anisotropy of the superfluid liquid are obtained and their possible frequency ranges are determined. It is shown that anisotropic optical contribution to the dielectric constant of the superfluid liquid can be determined from experiments on excitation of surface electromagnetic waves.
