Abstract

Abstract A novel hydrogen bonded bis(4-methoxyanilinium) adipate (4MAA) singlecrystal has been successfully grown and the corresponding crystal structure has been reported first time. SCXRD analysis reveals that 4MAA crystallizes in triclinic unit cell with P 1 ¯ space group. The crystal structures of the 4MAA was steadied by N–H···O and O–H···O three dimensional hydrogen bonding networks. The centrosymmetrically related two intermolecular N H…O hydrogen bonds are connecting the ions through R22(8) and R44(12) ring motifs as primary motifs. Furthermore, Hirshfeld surface and 2D Fingerprint plot were generated and explained.
