Abstract
In this three-part series, Debra Barton, early years specialist Lead for the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Armed Forces Families and Safeguarding (AFFS) team, explains how practitioners and providers from the early childhood and early education sector can support service children and their families. This second article will give a further introduction to service children, explain some of the jargon military families use, and describe how attending early childhood education and childcare provision can be a protection against some of the challenges young children and their families face.
