Abstract

Abstract Date Presented 04/02/2022 The transition from military to civilian life often results in a change in role, routines, and identity. This occupational shift can lead to disturbances in one’s overall mental health. This systematic review explored the impact of peer support on community reengagement for veterans with mental health conditions. Connecting with those who have been ‘in their boots’ has been shown to improve positive behaviors and relationships for veterans.
