Abstract

This chapter focuses upon young homeless people’s support needs and their housing preferences. It addresses issues such as the range and distribution of support needs in the young homeless population; the importance of various factors in shaping the ‘vulnerability’ of young homeless people; and the type of accommodation desired by these young people in both the short- and longer-term.
