Abstract
Eight supervisors with at least two years of experience evaluated their performance of a five point, forty-two item rating scale. Evaluations of their performances on the same scale were made by their thrity-five students. A comparison of supervisor and student rating showed that five supervisors rated themselves higher than did their students on a significant number of items, and two supervisors rated themselves lower on a significant number. When the means of all supervisor and student responses were compared for all forty-two items, supervisors rated themselves higher on a significant number of items.
