Abstract

AbstractFeatures of supermolecular organization in liquid‐crystalline polymers with mesogenic side groups and mesogenic groups in the main chains are described. The nematic and cholesteric mesophase in polymers are shown to be macroscopic ordered phases similar to low‐molecular liquid crystals. Smectic polymers are microheterogeneous systems with complicated levels of supermolecular structures: layered packs and their aggregates.
