Abstract
A supercontinuum (SC) generation is proposed and experimentally demonstrated by using 50 m high nonlinear fiber (HNLF) in 56.31 m double ring length cavity, without amplification. The SC spectrum range spans from 1490 nm to 1590 nm with a bandwidth of 100 nm. The generated SC pulse width and the repetition rate are 2.5 ps and 2.9 MHz, respectively. The wavelength spectrum maintains its shape with respect to time, with lasing wavelength fluctuations of less than 0.1 nm.
