Abstract
The superconducting ceramics Bi 1−x Pb x SrCaCu 2 O y(0≤x≤0.5) have been prepared by conventional powder solid state reaction. A zero resistance transition temperature at 105 K has been observed in the sample with composition x=0.2. The effect of Pb content on the superconductivity of the ceramics has been studied. The results indicate that partial substitution of Pb (x≤0.3) for Bi enhances the superconductivity of Bi-oxide.
