Abstract

Abstract Thin films of Bi Pb Ca Sr Cu O sample were prepared by RF sputtering from sintered ceramic targets. Single crystal of MgO(100) was selected as substrate. The sputtering was held at room temperature. Different annealing conditions were carried out to obtain optimum conditions. High temperature resistivity was measured in air to study the thermodynamic reaction of the sintered films. An resistivity anomaly was found in the first heating cycle which suggests a thermodynamic reaction. A temperature dependence of Ic was measured to study the coupling of grains in the granular films in different temperature ranges and the results will be discussed.
