Abstract

Superconducting silver composite of BiPbSrCaCuO system having Ag content 4–37 wt% were prepared by sintering in air. The T c(0) for all the composites were found to be between 107–110 K. It was observed that the room temperature resistivity and contact resistance decrease drastically by the silver addition. The effects of Ag addition on the formation of high T C phase and impurity content have been studied.
