Abstract

A systematic study of superconducting properties of iodine containing EuBa2Cu3O7−δ(IO6)x (x = 0.029 to 0.15) system is carried out. With variable iodine content three superconducting systems are observed to form, with Tc = 87, 62, and 28 K, respectively. XPS measurements reveal that an increase of iodine content is accompanied by the growth of the unit-cell parameters a, b, and especially c. Basing on this data iodine is supposed to incorporate into the superconducting lattice. The iodine ground state is determined to be plus seven (XPS). TGA and mass-spectroscopic analysis of the solid and vapour phases are performed. It is shown that the iodine interrelation with the system studied has a complex character. [Russian Text Ignored].
