Abstract

In recent years, the research on cascading failures of high proportion new energy power systems has gradually attracted attention. Combine the definition and classification of cascading failures, the characteristics of power system cascading failures after the connection of new energy generation is analyzed. And, from the perspective of the uncertainty analysis after the connection of new energy generation and the cascading trip-off of new energy generators, the status of the research on the mechanism of cascading failures in new energy systems is collected. Wide area control measures at different time scales in systems are integrated. The comprehensive defense method of cascading failures is divided into three parts: component strengthening, operating state optimization and cascading failure blocking control. The key technical issues in the study of cascading failures in new energy grid-connected systems are discussed.
