Abstract

AbstractTo elucidate the effect of lignin addition, polypropylene films containing 2–10 wt % of spruce organosolv lignin and/or beech wood prehydrolysis lignin were compared with lignin‐free polymers with respect to tensile strength and elongation before and after aging. The physicochemical properties of the lignin‐containing films were investigated by conductivity measurements, surface behavior, and UV and IR spectroscopy. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
