Abstract

Although some population-based surveys have found gay and bisexual boys at higher risk for suicidal ideation and attempts v. Heterosexual peers, findings for lesbian and bisexual girls have been mixed. Most studies have combined orientation groups. The purpose of this study was to compare the risk of suicide behaviors among bisexual teens (b) heterosexual (h), mostly heterosexual (mh) and gay or lesbian (g/l) peers within 8 school-based surveys from north America over the past two decades.
