Abstract

The article shows that the main problems of the current normative base for engineering-environmental surveys (SP 47.13330.2016) consist in: predominance of the anthropocentric approach over the coevolutionary approach; absence of a direct instruction on the necessity of ecologically-oriented assessments of the modern geological and hydrometeorological (natural and anthropogenic) processes; illegibility of the legends of ecologicallyoriented maps. The authors offer to single out groups of catastrophic, dangerous and unfavorable processes that negatively influence people and ecosystems, as well as differ from each other in the severity of environmental consequences (such as threats to life, changes in living comfort, disturbance of the preservation of soils and soil-forming materials). The authors outline some ways for improvement of the contents of legends of environmentally oriented maps.
