Abstract

The performance of coherent multicode DS-CDMA systems with successive interference cancellation (SIC) for reverse links of the cdma2000 Radio Configurations 3 over Nakagami- m frequency-selective fading channels is evaluated. Employing RAKE receivers, the SIC schemes with uncorrelated diversity branches are applied for mitigating the multiple access interferers (MAI), which could be modeled as a Gaussian distribution, thereby, the exact bit error rate (BER) of the system over Nakagami-m channels may be derived. Numerical results via computer simulations are also provided in terms of different data rates and number of users.
