Abstract
OBJECTIVE: Culture of mammalian embryos in a large group supports embryonic development. However, the group culture disturbs the individual observations of embryos. We demonstrated the successful individual culture of bovine embryos using micro-well plates made from non-porous poly-(dimethylsiloxane)(PDMSW; Saeki et al., 2008). In this study, we examined the development of human embryos cultured individually using PDMSW. The morphological assessment of embryos was also carried out by time-lapse photography.
