Abstract

Structures formed during creep of single phase polycrystalline TiAl in the low stress range has been investigated. Little dynamic recrystallization is observed even at the acceleration stage where creep rate becomes five times higher than the minimum value. Dislocations observed around the stage of the minimum creep rate are characterized. The dislocation density ratio of superdislocations to total dislocations at the minimum creep rate in the low stress range is quite different from that in the intermediate stress range.
