Abstract
ABSTRACT A new species of Amazonian ectoparasitoid wasp, Stygocampsomeris manauara sp. nov., is described almost 50 years after being collected in the region of Manaus, in the central Brazilian Amazon, and stored in the invertebrate collection of the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (Brazil). We provide a detailed morphological description and illustrations of the female, a diagnostic comparison of the new species with Stygocampsomeris servillei Lepeletier, and a key for the identification of females of Stygocampsomeris.
