Abstract

The study was conducted on 38,000 36-week-old chickens of the “ROSS-308” breed. The results of a clinical study of the drug “Amoxyantare” in cases of bacterial etiology diseases in poultry are presented. Bacteriological examinations of pathological material from deceased chickens revealed the following pathogens: Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter agglomerans, Proteus mirabilis, and Escherichia coli. To evaluate the efficacy of the drug, four experimental groups were simultaneously formed, consisting of 4000, 13,000, 15,000, and 6000 birds, respectively. The chickens were administered Amoxyantare at a daily dose of 17.5–35 mg per 1 kg of body weight for 3–5 days. The effectiveness of the drug was assessed based on the disappearance of clinical signs of the disease and the absence of disease agents in the biomaterial after the last administration of the drug. The obtained results indicate the high efficacy of the Amoxyantare drug against Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter agglomerans, Proteus mirabilis, and Escherichia coli, with no observed side effects on the birds at the specified dosage.
