Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the readiness of Bachelors of Social Work to study and continue to work in their chosen profession. To conduct the study, questionnaires were developed aimed not only at identifying the readiness of Bachelors of Social Work to study this profession, including on the basis of the case method, but also at identifying factors that positively and negatively affect the willingness to study. The research was also aimed at identifying students’ ideas about the personality of a social work specialist, as well as about the professional activities of social workers. The scientific novelty consists in substantiating the need for widespread use of practice-oriented methods of preparing future social workers for work.
