Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of dacryocystorhinostomy combined with novel silica gel tube and mitomycin C in the treatment for nasolacrimal duct obstruction.Methods 60 eyes with chronic nasal obstruction were performed dacryocystorhinostomy combined with novel silica gel,combined with nasolacrimal intubation and mitomycin C,a random sample of 30 eyes used mitomycin C,other 30 eyes in the control group did not use mitomycin C.Results The postoperative follow up ranged from 3 to 12 months.For the 30 eyes using mitomycin C,the cure rate was 93.3%,while the cure rate in 30 eyes in the control group was 70.0%,the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).Conclusion Dacryocystorhinostomy combined with novel silica gel tube and mitomycin C in the treatment for nasolacrimal duct obstruction is safe,with small trauma and good effect,and easy to be mastered and to have promotion.
