Abstract

The Chinese instrumental seismic intensity increment (ΔI china) relative to bedrock can provide a reliable basis for seismic micro zoning and better seismic fortification of engineering structures in the study area. Using more than 56,000 sets of ground motion data from 56 stations in the KIK-net network, and according to the algorithm of the Chinese instrumental seismic intensity in the Chinese Seismic Intensity Scale (GB/T 17742-2020), the variation law of ΔI china with peak ground acceleration (PGA) and peak ground velocity (PGV) is studied. After that, the relationship between them was established by the method of unary nonlinear regression analysis. The results show that (1) ΔI china increases linearly with the increase of PGA and then decreases gradually after reaching a certain threshold. The regression results in different directions have no significant differences. (2) Under different site categories, when the site becomes softer, ΔI china gradually increases.
