Abstract
In order to construct the hydropower transmission base of Southwest Power Grid and block the transient energy transfer path when faults occur to the three UHVDC simultaneously, namely Fufeng, Jinsu and Binjin, the State Grid Corporation has built the Chongqing-Hubei VSC-HVDC project in 2019. In order to ensure the secure and stable operation of the power grid after the project’s completion, the asynchronous operation test of Hubei and Chongqing is carried out in advance, and the 500kV AC transmission lines between Hubei and Chongqing will break off to simulate the zero power operation mode of the Chongqing-Hubei VSC-HVDC. In this paper, the relevant calculation model is established in Power System Analysis Software Package (PSASP), and the transient stability, dynamic stability and frequency stability characteristics of the Central-China Power Grid during the asynchronous operation test period is analyzed. On this basis, corresponding stable control measures are proposed, which can provide theoretical foundation for the secure and stable operation of Central-China Power Grid during the asynchronous operation period and after the completion of the VSC-HVDC project.
