Abstract

The construction of “roadway connecting every village” and township roads facilities have played a huge promoting role to the development of villages. However, at the same time of bringing prosperity to the villages, the “roadside economy” has also brought a series of traffic and environmental impact issues. The emergence of “roadside villages” has turned out to be the “cancer” of township development. This paper takes the rural areas of the central and western regions as the main object to study the roadside village phenomenon and its problems, and explores the soft conditions of the villages to search for a win-win mode to achieve both transportation advantages and village development.
