Abstract

Objective To explore the characteristics and related factors of systolic blood pressure variability(SBPV) during dialysis in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Methods We enrolled 202 MHD patients, using the electronic sphygmomanometer arm to monitor and record the blood pressure during dialysis in 30 consecutive days. The coefficient of variation (CV) was used to calculate systolic blood pressure variability (SBPV), and the clinical data and laboratory data of the patients were collected at the same time. The related factors of SBPV and the characteristics were analyzed. Results High SBPV group compared with the low SBPV group , older age (P=0.001), lower average DBP (P=0.001), more frequent hypotension (P=0.001) , higher serum sodium (P=0.043), lower serum albumin (P=0.012), higher C-reactive protein (P=0.015), the differences were statistically significant. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that age, serum sodium, calcium-phosphorus products and the frequency of hypotension were positively correlates with SBPV. Conclusions Age, serum sodium, calcium-phosphorus products and the frequency of hypotension are positively correlates with intradialytic SBPV in the MHD patients. Key words: Renal Dialysis; Blood Pressure
