Abstract

The study investigates the structure and characteristic of Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) through building the hardware-in-the-loop test bed of the CVT. Matlab/Simulink is utilized to establish a vehicle simulation model and a speed ratio and clamping force coordinated control model. In addition, the speed ratio test, based on the active coupling control strategy, is carried out with the result of contrast curves between coupling control and traditional speed ratio control strategy. The real-time simulation proves a better controlling effect.
