Study on the Protection and Product Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage with Computer Virtual Reality Technology

Abstract

The rapid development of computer virtual reality technology has provided a brand-new idea for the inheritance, protection, product design and dissemination of China’s intangible cultural heritage, which is of great practical significance. Based on the investigation of the status quo of computer virtual reality technology in the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage, this paper proposes an innovative method for the intangible cultural heritage protection mode integrated with computer virtual reality technology. Besides, this paper also attempts to obtain a development strategy for the inheritance, protection, integration, development of virtual reality of intangible cultural heritage by analyzing the Intangible Cultural Heritage Project of Zhejiang Province with Xiuzhou peasant paintings as a study case. This paper represents the achievement of the project titled Research on Collaborative Development of Design Majors under the Background of “Integration of Production and Education” (jg20190966), one of the second batch of teaching reform research projects of higher education in Zhejiang Province during the 13th Five-Year Plan.
