Abstract

The movement and deposition of particulates play an important role under normal and abnormal operation conditions in nuclear power plants. The background, connotation and importance of the particulates influence on nuclear power plants security are analyzed. The basic characteristics, force and force models, and motion deposition models of particulates and the medium are summarized. The particulates distribution types of nuclear power plants in normal operation condition, design basis accidents and severe accidents conditions are given. The numerical simulation methods, program calculation methods and experimental methods for analyzing particulates motion characteristics at home and abroad are compared. It is concluded that the numerical simulation and the program calculation methods have the advantages of short period, low cost, and the experimental method is closer to the real situation. The three methods can complement and verify each other. The trend of numerical simulation and program calculation are in good agreement with the experimental results. The study on the motion characteristics of particulates in nuclear power system is still in its infancy, and it is necessary to understand its motion characteristics so as to minimize the hazards of particulates. The direction of future analysis methods for the movement of nuclear power particles is pointed out. It provides a theoretical basis for the study of the movement and deposition of particulates under normal operation and accident conditions in nuclear power plants.
