Abstract
With the increasing competition in the global automobile market, more and more automobile manufacturers begin to pay attention to the driving performance of vehicles. If a vehicle has excellent driving performance, it can improve the market competitiveness of the vehicle to a certain extent. In order to study the influence of tire parameters on vehicle driving performance, a vehicle dynamics model was built based on CarMaker dynamics software platform. Two typical test conditions are selected. One is sinusoidal signal steering input on flat road and the other is straight driving on a bumpy road. Three tire models with different parameters were integrated into the vehicle dynamics model for simulation analysis. The key dynamic variables of vehicle are output, and the responses of vehicle in longitudinal, transverse and vertical directions are compared. The results show that the changes of some tire parameters have great influence on the longitudinal and transverse performance of the vehicle, but have little influence on the vertical performance of the vehicle.
