Abstract

Objective To observe the significance of watering tube with normal saline during transfusion in preventing from drugs' bad interactions. Methods Totally 60 cases with acute upper respiration infection accepted transfusion were randomly divided into two groups. The study group ( n = 30) were performed watering tube with normal saline during transfusion. The control group (n = 30 ) were done with general transfusion nursing. All the subjects were observed about appearance changes of drugs together in Murphy's tube and recorded side-effects and clinical efficacy. At the same time, the satisfactions about transfusion were investigated and compared. Results The probability of appearance change in Murphy's tube in the study group (0.0%)showed significantly lower than that in the control group(30.0% ,P 0. 05). The satisfactions about transfusion,the drug dispensation and transfusion technology in the study group showed significantly higher than those in the control group ( P < 0. 05 or 0. 01 ). Conclusions The way of watering tube with normal saline during transfusion has some advantage in preventing from drugs' bad interactions. It may be used skillfully during clinical transfusion.
