Abstract
Objective To observe the hemostatic effect of adrenaline hydrochloride eye drops after strabismus surgery in children,to discuss the influence of adrenaline hydrochloride eye drops on dilation of pupils and heart rate in patients on strabismus surgery. Methods Sixty children in 3-7 years old with strabismus were randomly divided into control group and experimental group of 30 cases. Results There were no statistical significant difference between two groups of age, gender, weight, operation time (P >0.05).Compared with control group, conjunctival congestion in the experimental group were significantly lighter (P <0.05).Heart rate and DETCO2 of the two groups had no statistical difference. In the experimental group, pupils at the end of the operation were the significantly lager than that before the operation (P <0.05).Conclusions Adrenaline hydrochloride has good hemostatic effect on strabismus surgery, and no effect on the children's heart rate.Scattered large pupil can be recovered to normal size in 1-2 hours. So a small amount of adrenaline hydrochloride eye drops can be used in strabismus operation,to achieve effective control of intraoperative bleeding and ensure the operation completed successfully.
