Abstract
Storage reliability of portable air defense missiles is investigated by analysis, statistics and experiments. Vulnerable parts and main failure modes are explored based on analysis of the missile's composition and storage information. Next, tests and experiments of the long-stored missiles and parts are presented by the instance of infrared seeker. The experiments also show the weak links of the missiles. Moreover, storage reliability distribution types of the main parts are discussed and the storage reliability and life are assessed by statistics of the spot data. Conclusions are given in the end.
